life sciences

From our life science, biomedicine and clinical medicine books and journals produced by Springer, to the diverse medical and biological sciences portfolio of BioMed Central, we offer many different options for publishing life science content. Together, with the high impact reviews and research published by the Nature Research family of journals, we cover the full spectrum of the life sciences including microorganisms, plants, animals, and humans.

physical sciences

Springer and Nature Research publish broadly across the physical sciences; we cover areas including astronomy, chemistry, climate science, geoscience, physics, materials and nanotechnology. Our physical sciences books date back to the late 1800s and cover some of the fundamental discoveries of our time. The first issues of our newest physical sciences titles, Nature Astronomy and Nature Reviews Chemistry, were published in January 2017.

applied sciences

Our authors develop ideas from basic research findings to produce practical solutions to a problem, our applied sciences content can be found in many of our journals, books and imprints. Adis produces a large volume of our medical and drug-focused books and journals. Apress focuses on serving information technology professionals and technical communities, whilst Springer publishes a wide array of engineering books and journals, including the Springer Handbook of Robotics.

social sciences

Palgrave Macmillan and Springer are devoted to producing some of our best humanities and social science content, in the form of books and journals. Examining human society and our interactions with our surroundings, our content covers many areas within the field including economics, political science, literature, philosophy and psychology. In addition, we publish social science content in a range of our Nature journals including Nature Climate Change, Nature Energy, Nature Geoscience, Nature Human Behaviour and Nature Plants.

multi- disciplinary

Our flagship journal Nature, and the Open Access journals Nature Communications and Scientific Reports, are multi-disciplinary journals that publish content in all aspects of the life and physical sciences as well as many areas of the applied and social sciences.

Springer has been a leading force in mathematics publishing since 1920. The combined portfolio of Springer and Birkhäuser covers all classical subdisciplines of mathematics and statistics, and extends into the more contemporary areas of mathematical biology, quantitative finance, computational sciences, and data science. We produce monographs, textbooks, handbooks, reference works and more than 200 journals utilised by scholars, teachers, and students.
